Tranquil Trails and Scenic Vistas: Hiking in Prespa and Ohrid
Hiking in the areas of Ohrid and Prespa in the national parks of Pelister and Galicica, offers an unparalleled experience of natural beauty and tranquility. Prespa, with its serene lakes and diverse birdlife, provides a peaceful retreat for nature lovers. Pelister National Park, home to the majestic Baba Mountain, features lush forests, crystal-clear streams, and the unique Molika pine trees, inviting hikers to explore its rugged terrain. Galicica National Park, nestled between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa, offers breathtaking panoramic views, rich biodiversity, and well-marked trails. Option 1: Hiking in Prespa area
Day 1 Morning transfer from Villa Prespa to the village of Malovishta, starting point for the hike to Mt. Mala Cuka (2.009m asl) in the Pelister national park. Lunch is arranged in the village of Malovishta upon returning from the hike. Return transfer to Villa Prespa for overnight.
Day 2 Morning transfer from Villa Prespa to the info center of the Pelister national park, where we will start hiking to Jorgov Kamen (1.734m asl) and Crveni Steni (1.773m asl). Lunch is arranged at family home in the village of Dihovo upon returning from the hike before returning to Villa Prespa for ovenight.
Day 3 Departure after breakfast.
Option 2: Hiking in Ohrid area
Day 1 Morning transfer from Villa Prespa to starting point of hike in Galicica national park. Hike to Mt. Magaro (2.255m asl). Transfer to village of Trpejca for lunch by the lake before returning to Villa Prespa for overnight.
Day 2 Morning transfer from Villa Prespa to village of Gorna Belica for hike to Mt.Crn Kamen (2.558m asl) and Vevchanska Lokva (1.993m asl) glacial lake. Lunch at family home in the village of Kuratica after the hike before returning to Villa Prespa for ovenight.
Day 3 Departure after breakfast.
