Thank You for choosing Villa Prespa as Your holiday retreat, we appreciate Your decision to support small family businesses in the Macedonian countryside. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the host for any questions or issues related to Your stay and Your overall experience and satisfaction at our Villa.
Now that You are with Us, feel free to use Your time as You desire, may it be relaxing time spent in Your room and the premises of the Villa, or going out there and taking it all by foot and bike in the pristine surrounding nature of Prespa.
Between May and October the weather is usually warm, dry and sunny, with daily temperatures ranging between 15-30°C (depending on the month), while the evenings are usually chilly, therefore we recommend bringing along warm clothes. Lake Prespa is rather shallow, which makes it warm enough to swim in the summer months, with pleasant water temperature between 20-25°C.
There is a small capsule coffee machine that comes with ESSE capsules. If the water from the coffee machine or the capsules runs out, please ask for a refill bottle from Your host.
In the bathroom there are dispensers for shower gel and liquid hand soap (pH friendly and biodegradable). We decided to go plastic-free, that’s why we avoid single dose toiletries.
Also, the hand and body towels we provide are to be used during the stay, for the sake of environment protection and preservation of the limited amount of water (still, if You desire to have Your towels changed, please talk to the host, we’ll help You out).
With our location in a rural area such as Prespa, running a hospitality operation (especially bed & breakfast) has its own advantages, but also challenges, and when we say challenges, we think of occasional instability of the local electricity and water supply (these are rather rare occurrences). We will try to solve any ongoing issues and provide solutions on the spot, and we expect understanding and cooperation from our guests.
Being converted from an old family mansion, please bear in mind that Villa Prespa preserved its construction concept, materials and interior decoration, so it doesn’t have the acoustic/sound-proof features of a new building.
There will be always be a resident host to assist the guests of Villa Prespa, also give recommendations for places to visit and things to do in the area, restaurants, etc. We can also arrange transfers and guided day trips (sightseeing, adventure tours or cooking classes), also provide equipment rentals (bikes or SUPs) in order our guests to be able to enjoy Prespa on their own.
Please let us know if You have specific dietary requirements (for the breakfast or other meal arrangements) or medical conditions that we should be aware of (if You plan to enjoy adventurous activities in the area), so that we can be of better assistance during Your stay.
